You don't have to be an athlete, or even goods at sports, to be active and exercise. Anyone can get moving and energized! Small changes to your everyday routine, such as walking or cycling to school, increases your activity and helps you feel and look better. And activities like dancing and rollerblading are great ways to boost activity and have fun at the same time!
You probably have more than a few things on your mind. School, parents, friends, homework, college and, of course, what's going on with your body. The rest of us are also a little worried about young bodies like yours, due to the growing obesity problem in America among kids and teens. This is why the focus has shifted from adults to children when it comes to the growing problem of obesity. Starting a healthy lifestyle as early as possible can make your life as an adult a whole lot easier and healthier. Being active when you're young will help you keep moving as you get older, which can fend off nasty things like heart attacks, strokes and diabetes, and help you live longer in general. You may not necessarily be worried about your future health, but getting into the habit of exercise early on will help it become a regular part of your life. Plus, you’ll look better, and we know you’re worried about that!
